The workshop addresses an issue, which is important to all citizens, governments and decision-makers.  Citizens throughout Europe need to engage in citizen participation activities more so than before.  Citizens need to develop together their ideas on the future direction of their communities, countries and Europe. 

The European Commission and Parliament has identified the need to interact more with citizens at all decision-making levels, to enter into dialogues and to hear the voices of citizens throughout Europe.
